The Mitsubishi Public Affairs Committee, the Asian Federation of UNESCO Clubs and Associations, and the National Federation of UNESCO Associations in Japan have sponsored this Mitsubishi Asian Children's Enikki Festa since 1990.
This Festa started up gMitsubishi Impression-Gallery- Festival of Asian Children's Arth in order for cultural exchange and support for literacy education by means of Enikki (illustrated diaries) and change its name in 2006.
The Festa so far has collected 564,612 works from 25 Asian nations and regions. The exhibition of represented works have taken place all over Japan as well as overseas, and those represented works have been incorporated into textbooks for local schools in order for participating nations + regions to promote literacy education. |
