About the Enikki Festa

With their Enikki, Asian children can open the door to a wide world of possibilities.

The Mitsubishi Asian Children's Enikki Festa seeks to promote literacy education and interchanges among children in Asia so that they can understand each other's cultures better and work together to build a better future.

The Mitsubishi Group has supported the Mitsubishi Asian Children's Enikki Festa.

    Monday, June 1, 2026 - Friday January 15, 2027
    Note: Submissions must be postmarked on or before January 15.
  • Eligibility
    Children aged between 6 and 12 (at the time of entry) from 24 countries and regions in Asia (including Japan)
  • Awards
    The winner will receive a commemorative medal and plaque, and as a supplementary prize an invitation to the international awards ceremony.

  • During the fruit season, my family and I visited my grandfather's durian orchard. Upon our arrival, I saw a large amount of durians that had fallen onto the ground. When I saw them, I would always pick up the fallen durians one by one and store them inside a takiding (a traditional woven basket with shoulder straps). I used thick gloves to protect my hands from the durian's thorns. The next day in school, I told my friends all about my experience picking durians.
