I go say my prayers when I get up in the morning. Then I make my bed, put my room in order, and prepare my school things. My mother comes into my room and says, "Marilha, help me wash the dishes, tidy the room, water the balcony. Then eat your breakfast and go to school." I answer, "Yes, mother. I'm coming."
This is a drawing of Ainaro School, where I go. It is a place for studying and playing with friends. I go to school every day with my friend Maximiliana. That's because Maximiliana is my best friend. We always walk together.
When Maximiliana and I were going home together after school, we saw my older brother feeding ducks. Maximiliana and I parted. We went on to our own houses. We each said, "See you later!"
I help my mother prepare dinner. My father, mother, older brother, younger sister, and I eat dinner together. Our mother always tells us lots of things during dinner and gives us advice. We clear the dishes after dinner. Our parents tell us to study and to get ready for school tomorrow. And we say our evening prayer before going to bed.
I study math. I then brush my teeth, wash my legs, and go to sleep. I think about going to school with Maximiliana tomorrow. I need to study hard, because I want to be a doctor. My future is in my own hands.
