Attock
This is a view of the Attock Festival. I participated in this festival with my family. It was an unforgettable experience. Beautiful swings were there, along with other rides. I bought and ate a lot of good things, like fried bread and vegetable and fruit treats. This festival is a local event, and it gets a local holiday. I didn't want to go home. It was an unforgettable day.

Wedding
Today was the wedding of a cousin on my father's side. The bride's dress was beautiful. The groom and bride reached the wedding hall before the guests. After the nikah Islamic wedding ceremony, we had the photo session. The food was excellent. We had a good time. The wedding celebration lasted a long time, and I am sleepy now that we are home.

Summer
I went to our village for the summer holidays, and the weather was extremely hot. It was so hot that people used parasols when they went outside. People stayed inside as much a possible during the afternoon; the village came alive in the evening.

Activities at School
Our school has a library. We can check out different books to read and get information about the world. It also has lots of other kinds of books in Urdu and in English.

Eid ul-Adha
Eid ul-Adha is an Islamic festival and an occasion for sacrificing animals. I didn't like the animal sacrifices at first, but I later learned that the sacrifices are for earning the protection of Allah. And I now enjoy the festival a lot. I want to share the meat from the sacrificial animals with less-fortunate people.

Traditional activities
Last year, I saw a fair in Islamabad. The things that I liked at the fair were the puppet show, drumming, dancing, and violin playing. I will never forget that fair.

What the Beautiful Earth Teaches
The earth teaches us about peace and love. The earth is like a mother's lap, where children feel perfectly safe and calm. It is a sanctuary for all living things and teaches people the importance of peace.

An outing
My little brother, Asfand, and I visited Mangla Dam one day during summer vacation. We were happy to see all the water. The water rushing down from above was impressive. The green hills around the dam made it look even more beautiful.

Morning in the village
I woke up early one morning. It was a holiday. I went with my mother to fetch water from the well. It was really fun. Lots of different animals were around the well. I saw goats and chickens. Then, we went home. I had a good holiday.

I get up early in the morning and help my mother with the cooking. My mother makes curry, and I make the bread. My little sister and brother just play.

Balloon Seller
Every weekend we used to go to a park. There I saw a balloon seller carrying a number of colourful balloons. Some are oval and some are round and we buy a few from him on every holiday.

A picnic
Murree (a high-elevation resort town) is a hill station and a very beautiful place. We enjoyed our picnic there a lot. Our snowman won the first prize. 20th December, 1994.

Friday, December 6, 1991
This is a typical rural house made of mud and stones. Cattle-breeding is the main profession of the people. The women are busy the whole day with house-hold chores. The children also help their mothers and have no time to go to school.
